The site offers general reading material, plus a simple way to pass your request to a single independent contractor near you. It is not a contractor and does not offer basement work of any kind. It doesn't visit homes, price jobs, sign contracts, or take part in insurance-paid work or claims. Every estimate, contract, payment, permit and warranty is a matter between you and the contractor you decide to hire.

We make no promise about any contractor, its work, its prices or its paperwork. Before hiring, ask which local license the contractor holds (Louisville Metro, Jeffersontown, Shepherdsville or Oldham County) and confirm it with that office, and remember that any plumbing part of the job needs a Kentucky-licensed plumber and a state permit. Get a written contract before work starts.

Contractors may pay this site for advertising. Homeowners never pay the site, and the site never gives homeowners money, gifts or anything else of value.

Guides, cost ranges and tools are offered as is, for general use. Each figure comes from the source named beside it and may change. None of it is legal, insurance, engineering or financial advice.

As far as the law permits, the site and its owner are not responsible for any loss that comes from using the site, relying on what it says or dealing with a contractor. Please don't misuse the site, send false requests or reuse its content commercially.
